Openwrt WiFi access point acts as DNS on PiHole

Hi,

My new WiFi access point running openwrt shows up for all devices connected via WiFi in the pihole's query log - not as the others that let the pihole resolve each client.

I have disabled DHCP for the lan interface already and the pihole is the only DHCP in my lan.

Thanks for your hints.

Bj

It will take one DNS ttl for all clients to refresh their config from DHCP.

Thanks - that's a valid point, but this already came and went. It had been days since I introduced the new AP.

Is it set up propely as bridged dumb ap or as lan-wan NAT that all wifi connections come from same address?

Please post outputs minus IP and mac addresses and passwords from

ubus call system board
cat /etc/config/network
cat /etc/config/dhcp
cat /etc/config/firewall
cat /etc/config/wireless

Interesting! Thanks! That did put me on the right track.

After disabling Ipv6 DHCP as well, all clients will resolve correctly.

Cheers,

Bj
