Hello,
Is Openwrt worth using in a vm?
Is it just more complex because of how its running?
Im using it on my xr500 but I got an xr1000 and that doesnt support opnwrt so I figured maybe its time to use it either barebone or virtualized.
Thank you

Sure, I have a couple OpenWrt VMs running all the time. In fact, my primary development of on-device code is done on a VM and most of my testing is general enough that it can be done on x86, so VM it is...
I would not run a VM as my edge device though. There are just too many layers between me and the ISP for that, and what with more sophisticated intrusions being developed every minute, I want as little code as possible between the cable and my firewall.
