are the download/upload and jetting performances the same with external antennas and without?
Ive tested right now its about the same, 150 down and 50 up. What do you mean by jetting performance? Maybe a noob question, sorry for that

Jitter: Also called Packet Delay Variation (PDV), jitter frequency is a measure of the variability in ping over time. Jitter is not usually noticeable when reading text, but when streaming and gaming a high jitter can result in buffering and other interruptions. Technically, this is a measure of the average of the deviation from the mean. Jitter testing is available in the Speedtest Android, iOS, and Mac apps.
I see, jitter values according to speedtest are the following
external: ping 5ms, download 64ms, upload 20ms
Internal: ping 6ms, download 73ms, upload 29ms

in my opinion given the proximity to the bts try to see how it behaves for a while without external antennas
the instability you are talking about is that of "sinr" I presume
Ok ill give it a try, though as i said sinr is about the same with the internal antenna, these are the values for the internal antenna
try for a period without it, it costs you nothing at most you can always reconnect the external antennas
just remember to button to switch between internal and external antennas

Update: without external antenna, the speeds and overall quality is a bit worse, but still very good. Im still having frequent disconnects (about 5 times/day) and sometimes it switches from lte to umts for seemingly no reason (about 1 time a day). My suspicion is the very bad SINR of -17 or -18, everywhere i search they say between +10 and 0 is already a problem, but i cant find any solutions to this. If anyone has any other ideas, i'd be glad to try them out...

you can check if a phone has the same sinr values as the 4g signal
For my provider this is basically the only BTS for me to connect to, others have terrible signal and are far slower (about 20 mbits download compared to the 150 with this BTS). On my Phone however it switches between this BTS and another BTS, as it has a different provider. on the same BTS it sais SNR 1 on the other BTS its SNR 6.
I understand but unfortunately I have no other solutions to offer you
Is the external antenna good (what brand/model is it)?
do you have many obstacles between you and the bts it connects to?
Is this your first 4G router, or if you have already tried others, did they have the same sinr values so low?
I had another router which came from the provider. There was no possibility to check the sinr and no cell lock so it changed bts all the times causing short disconnects. That was the reason why i changed it. Nevermind then ill live with it and update you guys if anything changes. Thanks nevertheless

If you see any anomalies or strange things, let me know. I tried everything I found online. Even tried two different SIM cards from different operators that worked on other devices.
Have you tried with other values for these options?
if you have picocom installed you can check the output of the following AT command "AT+CGDCONT?" (should look like this):

and i can advise you to remove the pin from the SIM and try again (if possible) just insert it into a mobile phone and remove the pin request ...
