OpenWrt support for Xiaomi AX3000T

Thanx, I'll try)

Thanks for the link to the bootloader disassembly, very helpful! It indeed looks like flag_try_sys1_failed and flag_try_sys2_failed should rather be set to 0 instead of 8. It might be worth it to adjust the platform.sh accordingly, at least for the RD23. I'll try to get my hands on one and see what I can do.

I suppose the RD03 never actually ran into this issue, or ran into a different issue (hence the value of 8 for the two flags) - maybe the stock bootloader code is different there?

Dude I think I've made it!! Thank you very much for your guidance! I successfully flashed the FIP item in the recovery to load the Chinese version of rd03 personally created "Immortal Uboot" and flashed the private custom version of Openwrt from it.

I got the version as "rd23 international version"

please report back, I have issues as well in any version that I tried with

That's a really old bug, see Daemon.err hostapd: nl80211: kernel reports: key addition failed - is this a problem?

Thanks.
I saw the post and many other posts.
I use dawn and FT works perfect.
Between AP - excellent
Between 2.4 <--> 5 - excellent
Even added to settings

   option 80211ai '1'
    option fils '1'

for 1 of SSID settings:

> config wifi-iface 'wifinet6'
> option device 'radio1'
> option mode 'ap'
> option ssid 'river-p'
> option encryption 'psk2'
> option key '********'
> option ieee80211k '1'
> option network 'lan'
> option ieee80211r '1'
> option mobility_domain '123A'
> option reassociation_deadline '20000'
> option ft_over_ds '0'
> option ft_psk_generate_local '1'
> option 80211ai '1'
> option fils '1'
> option bss_transition '1'

and use

wpad-mbedtls

Evening will try ImmortalWrt)

Hi to all, i have a problem flashing the router.
everything is fine until step 5
In step 5 i have this error:

root@OpenWrt:~# sysupgrade -n /tmp/openwrt-mediatek-filogic-xiaomi_mi-router-ax3000t-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin
verifying sysupgrade tar file integrity
Thu May 16 18:36:10 UTC 2024 upgrade: Commencing upgrade. Closing all shell sessions.
Command failed: Connection failed
root@OpenWrt:~# Connection to 192.168.1.1 closed by remote host.
Connection to 192.168.1.1 closed.

I add that it is possible to access in SSH but it is not possible to access via Web Ui http://192.168.1.1

Someone can help me?

snapshop dont include luci.

I faced the same issue a few days back. Can we change the instructions to the following?

1. Download XMiR-Patcher 798 and unpack into any directory
2. Copy UBInized image openwrt-mediatek-filogic-xiaomi_mi-router-ax3000t-initramfs-factory.ubi into directory firmware
3. Execute !START.bat (or run.sh on *nix machine)
4. Execute 2
5. Execute 7 and wait until the connection closes
6. Wait 40...70 seconds as it is rebooting
7a. If the image doesn't have luci installed (this applies to snapshot versions):
7a.1 copy over openwrt-mediatek-filogic-xiaomi_mi-router-ax3000t-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin using the following command in the terminal:
          `scp {path to sysupgrade file} root@192.168.1.1/:/tmp
    7a.2 SSH into router `ssh root@192.168.1.1`
    7a.3 Flash the sysupgrade file
         `sysupgrade -n /tmp/openwrt-mediatek-filogic-xiaomi_mi-router-ax3000t-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin

7b. If you have luci in your image:
    7b.1 Browse 192.168.1.1
7b.2 Using LuCI flash sysupgrade image openwrt-mediatek-filogic-xiaomi_mi-router-ax3000t-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin
8. Wait 40...70 seconds for solid blue light
9. If you don't have luci:
9.1 If you have internet access then just run the following command to install luci:
         `opkg update && opkg install luci`
9.2 If you dont have internet access you need to do the offline install: https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/luci/luci.essentials#offline_installation
10. Change default password either in lucy or using passwd

How is with this WED ? Shouldn't be enabled by default ?
Since now you have to add manually sentence mt7915e wed_enable=Y to /etc/modules.conf...

it's enabled in my configuration, but the stability issues exists with or without it.
maybe it's too experimental (saw some WED errors in the logs now and then) to enable by default

The test has started and i'll write after few days

P/S/

after 2+ hours - WiFi is down ((
exactly - wifi is work, but no data transfer

p.p.s
drop dow only WiFi 5Gz - no data transfer
2.4 - works

can you use collectd-mod-thermal and luci-app-statistics? my temperature is sitting at around 50 degrees, whilst yours is at 60, so when under load it could cut off the Wifi?

probably not that, but worth a try

Do you solve the problem? I also got AX3000T Global version(RD23) and try to flash via UART. I have the same issue with you, I stock the console messages at Hello BL31.

Actually, this is not an issue anymore because I successfully flashed my RD23. And it seems like @jinjincurryha did it as well.
Please read this solution. Also, I've updated the instructions with information about the loop with the NOTICE: Hello BL31!!! message.

what are the wifi clients? (I experience issues with intel wifi cards)

what version did you try? from your posts I understand you tried the 6.6 and 6.1 kernel snapshots, and the immortalWrt 23.05.2 (did you try 23.05.3?)

@alexq Thank you! I tried more than 10 times and maybe successful.
Now I got those boot messages. It keeps automatically rebooting and entering the menu to automatically boot, continuously cycling. I try to go back step.5
to do again, I always get those boot messages and reboot automatically.

Does it depend on the WiFi clients? For example, you can exclude your IOT devices from the WiFi network and repeat the test.

@alexq, during OpenWrt firmware installation you lost stock uboot, its ok, but may be you get backup of other partitions. Is it possible to share copy of mtd partitons of global version? Thanks in any case.

I only have a backup for the partitions extracted after the OpenWrt 'ax3000t-ubootmod-initramfs-recovery.itb' was loaded in this step:

It seems like these are not the original partitions you are looking for.
