OpenWrt U-Boot provide faster boot loading and more space: *75Mb* (with recovery) or *85Mb* (without recovery). ## Change to OpenWrt U-Boot 1. Flash openwrt-mediatek-filogic-xiaomi_mi-router-ax3000t-ubootmod-initramfs-recovery.itb `ubiformat /dev/mtd8 -y -f /tmp/openwrt-mediatek-filogic-xiaomi_mi-router-ax3000t-ubootmod-initramfs-recovery.itb` `reboot` 2. Install kmod-mtd-rw `opkg update && opkg install kmod-mtd-rw` `insmod /lib/modules/$(uname -r)/mtd-rw.ko i_want_a_brick=1` 3. Format ubi and create new ubootenv volume ``` ubidetach -p /dev/mtd8; ubiformat /dev/mtd8 -y; ubiattach -p /dev/mtd8 ubimkvol /dev/ubi0 -n 0 -N ubootenv -s 128KiB ubimkvol /dev/ubi0 -n 1 -N ubootenv2 -s 128KiB ``` 4. *(Optional **-10Mb** free space) Add recovery boot feature.* ``` ubimkvol /dev/ubi0 -n 2 -N recovery -s 10MiB ubiupdatevol /dev/ubi0_2 /tmp/openwrt-mediatek-filogic-xiaomi_mi-router-ax3000t-ubootmod-initramfs-recovery.itb ``` 5. Force flash openwrt-mediatek-filogic-xiaomi_mi-router-ax3000t-ubootmod-initramfs-recovery.itb `sysupgrade -F -n /tmp/openwrt-mediatek-filogic-xiaomi_mi-router-ax3000t-ubootmod-initramfs-recovery.itb` 2. Format ubi and Nvram ``` ubidetach -p /dev/mtd8; ubiformat /dev/mtd8 -y; ubiattach -p /dev/mtd8 mtd erase Nvram ``` 3. Install kmod-mtd-rw `opkg update && opkg install kmod-mtd-rw` `insmod /lib/modules/$(uname -r)/mtd-rw.ko i_want_a_brick=1` 4. Flash stock images from backup ``` mtd write /tmp/BL2.bin BL2 mtd write /tmp/FIP.bin FIP mtd write /tmp/ubi.bin ubi ``` Then reboot your router, waiting it finished rollback in minutes. ## Go Back to stock from default layout Openwrt: `ubiformat /dev/mtd7 -y -f /tmp/ubi.bin` Then reboot your router, waiting it finished rollback in minutes.

Hi guys,

I am having a question and seeking your advice. I flashed uboot.fip from the official download link but without flashing preloader.bin. I assumed that the official uboot.fip didn't require preloader.bin. Now, I am unable to see the uboot web UI and cannot SSH into the device. Does this mean I bricked the device? I backed up each partition. Is there any way to restore the device to working condition? Would flashing via the serial port work? or any alternative ways to make the device to work again?

Is support planned at least at the level of the official snapshot, or only at the level of 2-4 enthusiasts and this device should not be considered for purchase?

Once the commit posted 28 days ago is accepted, images will be built.
If you can't wait that long, you can use the temp work arounds.

The topic is called Xiaomi AX3000NE, but the latest messages are about the Xiaomi AX3000T model. It is the same? I'm interested in the Xiaomi AX3000T.

3000T isn't officially supported, yet.

They're not 100% the same, this info is in this thread.

When you request on AliExpress - Xiaomi AX3000NE, the results of Xiaomi AX3000T are displayed. I thought that this was the same thing only in a new case design))). If Xiaomi AX3000T is not supported at this stage, then you should not consider purchasing it yet.
