Did someone never install OpenWRT on TP-LINK RE-455?
This device should be very similar to TP-LINK RE-450.

Maybe you could try to go to the firmware update page and upload the same firmware for the RE450 (with the risk of breaking it, of course...).
Is it a risk you would take?
The problem is not the breaking, I have so many problems with this device!!
My problem is that I guess I can't install the firmware for RE450 into RE455 due to different model number. That means some changes is needed in the package and I don't have the knowledge to do it.
If you need, now re455 is supported in snapshot
