I am using this router and like it from the layout of interfaces. However, the more I do with OpenWRT the more I wish this router would be supported by OpenWRT (especially the SFP cage!).
It seems to me Draytek devices are not frequently supported by OpenWRT. Is this due to the price point or technical reasons?
Any chance to test OpenWRT on Vigor 2927F, maybe with a dual boot option, e.g. from USB storage device without touching the original OEM firmware image?
Which SOC does the router have? Googling reveals no internal info at all.
At least here in Australia these are marketed as business devices and are very expensive for the specs, which would explain the lack of interest from openwrt users
Based on their older lantiq based devices, Draytek is making it intentionally hard(er than usual) to port OpenWrt, starting with custom bootloaders and limited serial interaction.
