Entirely useless documentā¦
Customs is requesting the EU Declaration of Conformity (DoC) that specifies both the manufacturer name and the model name. Does anyone know where I can obtain this?
Please contact "competent authority", they ask to specify technical parameters which they can find in the directives listed on certificate. It is not fcc suthorisation which lists frequencies of radio transmissions.
What about:
Worthless!
OpenWrt welcome as a manufacturer and importer of goods to the EU inner market. Now you are a manufacturer but you didnāt read the law.
But your factory actually did read the law and sold you out in the general remarks (see my previously posts).
You could have googledā¦
https://europa.eu/youreurope/business/product-requirements/compliance/technical-documentation-conformity/index_en.htm
Customs responded that they need an EU Declaration of Conformity (DoC), not a test report from the lab.
Iām surprised because it claims to have all the required certificates, especially valid ones for the EU, and other (post) in Europe seem to pass through customs with the published documents.
Hi, where can I obtain an EU Declaration of Conformity (DoC) that specifies both the manufacturer's name and the model name for the OpenWrt One? Please refer to this thread to review previous suggestions and note that the provided certification were not sufficient for customs clearance.
It is one way to see it, but your customs actually do what they are expected to do on the EU front line. More of those please!
But still, no one has to this date shown the EU DoC here. All other useless peace of papers are shown over and over again but not a single time the only paper that matters?
this is all we have.
around 5K units were sold and this is the only/first time someone asked for this document.
so looking at
BPi just needs to fill out a form and sign stamp it.
I have just sent an email to them about this
Thank you for your response. I hope to receive the required document as soon as possible so I can submit it to customs.
@diocese Where are you from? Which customs office is involved here? Just curious.
It seems that some replies suddenly disappeared!
Anyway, I'm not looking to discuss global trade or import laws, but as pointed out by @flygran12, the EU Declaration of Conformity (DoC) appears to be required for customs clearance of OpenWrt One, which is claimed to be valid in the EU. As I understand it, this document should have been prepared. I urgently need the EU DoC as I have limited time to submit it before the product is rejected. It would be very disappointing, especially considering how long Iāve waited and how busy Iāve been these past couple of weeks trying to get it approved.
@blogic
If you could please ask BPI for a quicker response, it would be greatly appreciated, as Iāve already contacted them via AliExpress chat and still havenāt received the desired document.
As far as I can tell, the "Attestation of Compliance" you sent before is identical to a "Declaration of Conformity" in everything other than name, I'm not sure why customs won't accept it.
I've linked some examples below of what a "Declaration of Conformity" from Banana Pi would look like.
Exactly! My contention as well.
I believe they need to complete something similar to this Pdf rendition, and please also refer to this example for clarification.
I have just sent @diocese the document as a PM and will get it uploaded to the OpenWrt server today.
I would also like to voice my concern about the general conduct of participants on this thread. OP asked for a missing document that he needs for customs and received a flood of random unqualified and useless comments that added zero value to the conversation.
The only posting in this thread of value is the one were I was tagged. Once I was aware of the situation I managed to provide the missing documents in less than 24 hours.
This forum is not social media so stop behaving like you were on twitter.
@blogic Can you please check if the OpenWRT One EU DoC file has missing permissions, i get a 403 error
