OpenWrt on this WiFi 6 MT7621A device

Chances are pretty high, but you might need to send one to a developer with the necessary skill and interest to port it (although often it seems enough if you can provide serial output etc. and test images).

I ordered two, we'll see ...

If has a 8 pins SPI that is easy to replace by a 32 or 64 Mo flash

anyone interested, if you want to add support in OpenWrt
you can probably copy the recent commit from x-wrt here for the nor version https://github.com/x-wrt/x-wrt/commit/78dcaaace06e727dc0e1e6dc1b00e57a923c9a96

and these two commits for nand version https://github.com/x-wrt/x-wrt/commit/2f64a5eebe4419c78855658daf3691bb858f1d2b#diff-fee4d4f8f139c8a1c0e4b335ecc47982b3546365353b524e3e9dcc32583b3302
https://github.com/x-wrt/x-wrt/commit/0109ce687c41abf3e97cb3a05d57281e9b3e8264#diff-fee4d4f8f139c8a1c0e4b335ecc47982b3546365353b524e3e9dcc32583b3302

does not do anything strange, adds device tree file and changes usual configs for ports and generating image.

Recovery is easy :

Serial adapter:

Tftp64 by Ph.Jounin
Computer 192.168.1.2
With serial port : key 2 , enter, enter, enter

file name in tftp64 folder: TB-WR1800K-MT7621-CPE-WR1800K-V1.0-202012052102-UploadBrush-bin.img

the file is original mtd4.bin save before and rename

:

If anybody is looking for the firmware(https://upgrade.wifi.sim.com/software) looks encrypted though
