Hi guys,
I'm a bit stuck - I'm trying to run openWRT on a Netgear 3700v2 router and failing massively!
I've tried everything I've seen on the internet - the easiest way seems to be to use the router's own firmware update page to install openWRT but this doesn't work.
I've tried serial, TFTP, mini http interface but none of them work - I get errors like:
checksum of /tmp/fw.img is <0xffffffff>
Checksum check fail!
Image check fail!
I've changed the standard Netgear .img file so the openwrt binary is in the .img file with the standard filename (DGND3700v2.bin) but this fails also.
The commands I see listed for CFE and flashing from ssh aren't valid on this router.
I'm not a noob when it comes to these sort of things, but would really value some pointers on how to get openwrt on my router.
One thing I keep seeing is an Error: Bad Block Rate has exceeded 10 percent in section 7 (NAND) - this doesn't sound good and could be indicative of the device failing but could this be causing issues with installing openwrt?
Cheers
