how many mac addresses can openwrt allow on wifi mac filter whitelist?

Not sure but as far as I remember OpenWRT, hostedap, and wpa_supplicant doesn't impose any restriction on the length when processing the MAC address list. The maximum should therefore be a memory limit thing. Should be plenty of addresses. If you do want to whitelist a lost of addresses (like >20) I would recommend using a RADIUS service anyway.
