Hi,
I'm new here and I'm looking for information on how to build OpenWRT for RG-EW3000GX-PRO, based on MT7981. (EW3200GX is different hw)
I see some attempts and requests here in the forum but no solution.
Any guidance is appreciated.
Best Regards

Whole process:

Lets start - can you get system boot log or ssh or telnet connection from OEM firmware?
What is in nmap -A <device IP> ?
Hi @brada4 ,
Thank you so much for your reply.
In regards to HW here is a post with internal pictures: Unbricking Ruijie 3000 Post 2 - #62 by tomascl
In regards to boot log, it's here, Jan 28: Request to release Openwrt for Ruijie Ew3000gx Pro - #45 by Mushfiqtaief
nmap output:
Starting Nmap 7.94SVN ( https://nmap.org ) at 2025-12-06 19:09 WET
Nmap scan report for _gateway (192.168.110.1)
Host is up (0.0011s latency).
Not shown: 996 closed tcp ports (conn-refused)
PORT STATE SERVICE
53/tcp open domain
80/tcp open http
443/tcp open https
5000/tcp open upnp
Device looks fairly supportable.
No obvious command line from the network.
Pictures are from different device, please edit away the link.
Does the case look easy to open like 4 visible phillips screwa on the back?
You will need to check if you can enter bootloader and netboot a kernel from a similar device. Guess is 3.3V but unless confirmed in place it is best to get 1.8/3.3/5V switchable USB TTL adapter.
