Hello. I read all the archived topics, but there were some interesting moments. I came across this device.
The router is flashed with OpenWrt SmartBox N300 1.2 / LuCI 0.12 Branch (0/12+git-16.038.38474-0d510b2
Router: Beeline SmartBox N300.
Processor: Realtek RTL8197D (660 MHz)
Flash memory: 16 MB (Winbond W25Q128FVSG)
RAM: 64 MB (EtronTech EM6AB160TSD-5G)
According to the description, DIR -822 has the same processor. That is, somewhere there is even an old OpenWRT that supports it. What is needed for support in new versions?
where's there ?
DIR-822 is not supported, AFAIK.
search the forum for RTL8197D.
my guess is, it won't happen, RTL SoC probably isn't supported by Linux, and 64MB RAM is insufficient anyway.
this should have been clear, if you had read all those old threads.

Okay, but how does this Beeline smart box work? Besides, the DIR-822 has 128 megabytes of memory and 128 megabytes of feature, it is a fairly new device. I read on another forum that the problem is in the kernel drivers. How can I extract the drivers if I find either the firmware or the device itself?
lack there of rather ...
you can't, they're in binary form within the kernel.
you could request the source code from the vendor, to get them, but they'll probably be linked to an ancient kernel.
