I have 4 Google Wifi, one that I use as a Router and 3 as AP, it has worked really good until now Yesterday I tried to flash firmware to 24.10 but never got the mesh 802.11s to work....Flashed back to 23.05 and upload a backup setting file that I did before flashing to 24.10. But now I only have Wifi on the router....someone have any tips on what I should do to make the mesh to work again.??
Maybe I picked wrong file when i flashed 24.10. Couldnt do sysupgrade from the ui so i download bin file from https://openwrt.org/toh/google/wifi should i have picked sysupgrade image?
Ok, do you have a list of packages that were installed before you sysupgrade?
What's happened is if you have changed any packages, the sysupgrade only has a standard set, so you probably only have the wpad-basic after using the sysupgrade file, and when you downgraded, probably the same wpad-basic is still there.
can you give us a list of the packages installed, opkg list-installed
Aha i never check the packages after flashing..maybe the package for mesh not where installed...I will check when i come home from work!!
Edit:
I checked installed software when i came home. I haved wpad-basic-openssl installed i should have wpad-mesh-openssl. I install that and removed the other, now it works like a charm again.
Do you think that was the problem with 24.10 firmware that i installed yesterday?
Why didnt i find 24.10 when i run attented sysupgrade?
Earlier when I used attended sysupgrade from firmware 25...to 25.03... it worked with all settings included software...
