OpenWrt 24.10.0 - First Stable Release

Warning: this release seems to have bricked my Xiaomi Redmi AC2100 or at least it's not responding to anything anymore. I haven't yet had the time to dig into what's going on since I just installed the firmware update, but it's not responding to ping, it's not bringing WiFi up or seemingly doing anything else.

Not a universal phenomenon.
I was able to upgrade two Redmi AC2100s without any problems.

Interesting. I wonder what caused mine to break, then.

Did you notice these lines?

Notice them where?

Well, wasn't bricked but wasn't responding to anything other than the reset button, either. Holding it down to wipe OpenWrt's configuration got it back up, but no saying what went wrong.

Banana Pi M3 tested but booting only from SD.
Can not boot from eMMC It Stops in UBoot SPL stage.
The same is possible with Armbian.

My bad - I confused 2 posts as yours.

Were you able to access your device?

24.10.0 had been working fine for days on Reyee RG E5 (MT7622 SoC) until....system log is nothing but this

and 5 GHz WiFi throughput has dropped from usual ~450 Mbps at some distance from AP to ~90 Mbps. Memory usage looked OK - nice and steady with plenty of head room. Reboot restored performance.

Upgraded my Netgear WNDR3700v4 (with openwrt-24.10.0-ath79-nand-netgear_wndr3700-v4-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin) but not keeping config (I like to have a fresh slate every few years!). Manually added a couple of packages and configured it all, works perfectly. Thank you to the devs & contributors!!

there is no 24.05.05

Please post here

Finally got around to having another go at upgrading my Archer C7 v5, and everything went smoothly. A quick look at dmesg shows no obvious ath10k error messages, and the 5Ghz was detected properly:

Unlike what I referenced in an earlier post, there was no need to add/remove "auc"/"owut" packages: Attended Sysupgrade did the trick by itself.

Will report back if something comes up as suspicious.

Is this triggeted by FT aka 11R ?

Thank you for this Update!! Had no problems updateting from 23.5.5 to 24.10.0, all settings and whole config was taken over to new version without problems on WRT 3200 ACM! Big Thank you to Devs and Testers

Does anyone have a successful Edgerouter-X upgrade?

Could be. I have had 802.11r enabled on the two AP's in our home for years. Thanks for suggestion - I'll see if I can reproduce with and without 802.11r when I have time.

Edgerouter-X is fine. Just be sure to run the migration script.

Was worried about the port flapping / eee issues

Guys, does the sysupgrade issue for Xiaomi Router AX6S/AX3200 still persist? if it has been solved, can someone share the steps that to do the upgrade from 23.05.5 to 24.10.0?

Thanks in advance.
