I'm the owner of two router types, gl-usb150 and gl-ar150 and I have a big issue.
The problem is that I can't connect to the personal VPN -PPTP protocol.
I've just update the router without resetting the configuration from version 15.X to 18.06
and now I can't connect to the vpn server even then before everything was ok. I even try to get answers from the manufacturer forum site but no luck.

I'll be more then happy if somebody can help me to solve this issue.
I don't want to revert to the old firmware because this new one is improved and more secure but no pptp protocol working ok.
From 15 to 18 is a major upgrade. On one hand you shouldn't have kept the configurations after the upgrade in such a huge version difference. On the other hand if you want to keep the configurations, you should stay within the same major version.
I think the best to do is to take a backup of your settings as they were in v15 and do a restore to factory defaults in v18. Now step by step try to restore the configurations, avoiding any deprecated options.

It seems that a full reset with protocol reinstall will not help.
I followed step by step the instructions form PPTP, with no success.
The same error USER_REQUEST) that after a few moments it is changing in NEGOTIATION_FAILED.
Any other hints how to solve the problem?
There is someone that is using this protocol and managed to configure OK?
