I have a problem...I have to connect my Android Box for IPTV, a Formuler Z11 Pro Max, in cascade to my Linksys WRT1900ACS openwrt router via openVPN...I'm afraid of a drop in speed...my connection has 2.5Gbs, the Linksys router has ports Gigabit…I could use, for example, NordLynx but NordVPN provides private IP address only with the openVPN protocol…I need a private IP address because I'm afraid that the standard VPN address it could be blacklisted by the IPTV service provider…how could I resolve?

if so create a vlan just one ethernet port and use the vpn for that device.

But I have drop rate on my device for IPTV…I would to have high speed for my IPTV

You might be maxing out the CPU on the box or on the router.

really, you do not need that speed at all for iptv

fwiw, are you able to install the nordvpn app on the android box?

Yes, the WRT1900 had quite a bit of CPU power for its time. It should easily keep up with one TV stream.

What percentage drop could I get in speed with openVPN?

Those links are for wireguard, not openvpn.

wireguard is generally far less demanding on cpu than openvpn.

If iptv only streams at less than 5 Mbps, then it shouldn't severely impact the Linksys even if you choose to use OpenVPN.
