I'm struggling to wrap my head around whether NSS support is important for my use case. I have a WAX620 AP. its working okay, but I'm moving soon and will have to redo a lot of networking stuff anyway so it's an excuse to migrate to openWRT.
I see the unit is supported by openWRT but there is this qualcomm NSS hardware acceleration feature that may or may not matter for me. its just an AP. the router and firewall and switch are all external from this device. Would NSS really benefit me in any way here? I'm thinking it could help latency a bit and maybe reduce device temps a little since the CPU isnt handling packets itself but I dont know for certain. I do use VLANs if that matters.
