The chip also needs firmware, likely that in the package ath10k-firmware-qca6174. The x86 builds include none of the wireless stack, so you also need iw, iwinfo, kmod-cfg80211, kmod-mac80211, wireless-regdb, wpad, etc.
Then reboot and check the log for messages from the driver.
