No wireless interface on x86 hardware

I am trying to install OpenWrt on a small PC. I downloaded the latest x86 image and burned it to a hard drive. I was able to get to the web interface but I can not see the wireless interface under network. I found this post https://forum.archive.openwrt.org/viewtopic.php?id=64756 and I did the following:

# opkg update
# opkg install pciutils

The wireless file seems empty. Not sure what to do from here? Appreciate some help.

The chip also needs firmware, likely that in the package ath10k-firmware-qca6174. The x86 builds include none of the wireless stack, so you also need iw, iwinfo, kmod-cfg80211, kmod-mac80211, wireless-regdb, wpad, etc.

Then reboot and check the log for messages from the driver.
