No IPv6 address (solved)

Hi, I'm using an OpenWrt One. Reset to factory settings and only enabled Wifi with a password. No other changes to the config.
WAN port is connected to a network where a Fritz-Box provides IP addresses, both IPv4 and IPv6. Here is the status:

From the routers console, I can ping IPv6:

root@OpenWrt:/etc/config# ping -6 ipv6.google.com
PING ipv6.google.com (2a00:1450:4001:830::200e): 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 2a00:1450:4001:830::200e: seq=0 ttl=119 time=18.028 ms
64 bytes from 2a00:1450:4001:830::200e: seq=1 ttl=119 time=17.122 ms
64 bytes from 2a00:1450:4001:830::200e: seq=2 ttl=119 time=16.864 ms

However, clients on the wireless network (a Mac as well es an Android phone) do not get an IPv6 address. Anybody who knew what needs to be done?

Here is my config:

Does the Fritzbox do prefix delegation to down stream routers?

I guess we are talking about this.
That's how it is configured right now. I don't understand why the third option says: "devices in home network will be assigned an IPv6 address via DHCPv6".
I currently get an IPv6 address on all devices although option 1 is selected.
So which one is the appropriate one?

Okay, that did the trick. I changed to option 2 "DNS-Server und IPv6-Präfix (IA_PD) zuweisen" and now I do get IPv6 address from OpenWrt.
Thanks very much, Bernd.
If it's not asked too much: What would I get if I picked option 3? What's the difference?

Try the last one, your router should get a prefix delegated which your router can use for its lan clients

Your wan will also get a global ipv6 address

But I am not an authority on IPv6 (@_bernd is)

@robertaramar
Yes Option 3. In case you still have clients connected to the Fritzbox.

You could, if no clients are connected to the Fritzbox, use option 2.
Then your OpenWrt would only use the link local address but might has no global IPv6 address.

Currently with your OpenWrt defaults, how large is the delegated prefix now, when using option 2.
And could you test option 3 and a reboot of the openwrt and also a Network restart of one of your clients on OpenWrt?

Edit ps. I ask because I wanted to know what prefix size the Fritzbox delegates...

It's kind of strange.

  1. Yes, my clients on the Fritz box don't get IPv6 with option 3
  2. Yes, with option 3 I now see IPv6 address outside from both networks
  3. However, i don't see these IPv6 leases on my openwrt any longer.

See screenshots attached. First status is with option 3 (no DHCPv6 leases) the other one with option 2 (with DHCPv6 leases)

Funnily, ifconfig.io stille reports an IPv6 address although i don't see the lease on openwrt.
