I just changed the setting at
http://192.168.1.1/cgi-bin/luci/admin/network/network/lan
from "static address" to "dhcp"
after that I cannot connect to the router...
Please help!
You want to have DHCP on the WAN side, but need a static on the LAN side.
If you are on windows goto CMD and run the command ipconfig and it may give you the current gateway and IP info, but you may need to reset your device to factory and start again.
Oh, BTW you need to reboot after changing the IP value for the LAN,
