That NetData package sure looks nice. I'm such a sucker when it comes to nice graphs and statistics, so whats the catch?

There are some github PR and apparently there was a privacy concern, but the cloud connection seems to be disabled by default unless you configure it to be active.

Is this an accurate assessment?

There's a pending pull request to update it, but it seems that we care about privacy. More details can be found here: https://github.com/openwrt/packages/pull/12164#issuecomment-655981628 There are already all dependencies request for netdata, but you just need to use opkg update and then install all required packages. If you want to compile packages for OpenWrt, it is a better to cross-compile them.

No I had privacy concerns, but there was little information whether that was resolved or not.

So I read most of the threads and the PR, but its still unclear to me.

I only want it to run local without any telemetry, if possible. Otherwise its a non-starter.

That being said, It looks great.
