Please connect to your OpenWrt device using ssh and copy the output of the following commands and post it here using the "Preformatted text </>
" button:
Remember to redact passwords, MAC addresses and any public IP addresses you may have:
ubus call system board
cat /etc/config/network
cat /etc/config/firewall
DSCP also sets local priority, which may help on super overloaded connection.
thank you for replaying unfortunately i am a beginner have no idea how to do what you just said
Wrong answer. Seek assistance in place you got idea of DSCP from then.
my isp does't provide any infomation about dscp i was putting lan to wan and wan to lan using udp and putting my pc internal ip and and i put the dscp to EF (46) i found out that it has the highest priority low loss low jitter and low delay
Cool!
@nano9617 - this may be the best idea if you're unable to access, provide or [comfortably] alter advanced network configs we'd have to provide.
You can also perform a config backup from the web GUI, open the archive, and provide the files by copy/paste. But, you'll still have to have the skill to edit the configuration files.
If you cannot measure latency in online website I am afraid human measurement resolution between slow and fast lies somewhere betwwen 100-200ms and you will lack feedback chain for any improvements you attempt.
is that right what i just posted sorry bro i am just a noobie at those thing i am trying to learn
Please use the "Preformatted text </>
" button for logs, scripts, configs and general console output.
Please edit your post accordingly. Thank you!
i am trying buti didn't work
So you deleted it?
Are you still seeking assistance regarding DSCP tagging?
Let us know when you're able to paste it.
You probably want QoS (quality of service)
Do you know what port/protocol your game runs on?
Also keep in mind you can't make a slow connection faster. You can only prioritize some types of traffic which could help but in reality it may not make much of a difference.
If you use plain putty on windows single right-click copies selection to clipboard. Dont stress. Everybody was in your situation, sometimes decades ago.
Once you copy terminal output to clipboard, paste it to notepad / notepad++ text editor and clean out identifiable addresses. Then back to browser.
Most important is rather short output of ubus call system board
i.e how powerful is your router and if we can work with powerful hardware towards polishing general latency or we need to do prioritisation your way.
And we need general latency measurement from wired connection behind your router, which will be later useful to you to have feedback chain if latency reduction measures have good effect.
