Mt3000 openwrt installation and reset

hi

I installed openwrt-23.05.5-mediatek-filogic-glinet_gl-mt3000-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin through the factory LUCI, and I believe I unchecked a box so that it does not store any information on reboot,

now my router comes up on 192.168.1.1 and its a LUCI login and it asks for password.

Tried to boot in UBOOT but same thing happens, don't get UBOOT
Tried to factory reset but LUCI still expects some non-null password

What am I doing wrong ?
I am a power user of openwrt, but still cant figure this one...

I don't have access to my soldering iron, else will get the serial port up...

Did you try to login with an empty password?

Make sure you follow the instructions how to get in UBOOT from GL.inet and upload the factory image.

https://openwrt.org/toh/gl.inet/gl-mt3000#uboot_web_interface

As @trendy also said, the standard login information is root with a blank password as in: root // (just press log in)

Yes I know that part,

it comes up on 192.168.1.1 but wont take blank/NULL as a password

I even tried on the ssh interface.

Did you try some default GLinet password?
Or any old password you may have used?

hi

I dont know what it was, well it did image it fine and I am able to use it normally

Thanks for all the help

Next I need to get my setup from the old "slate" to work here, it is a travel router.

Wondering if there is any wiki/video on how to do "travel router" on a native openwrt router.
I am looking at wireguardVPN to use with NordVPN or bitmask VPN

AND I need some better/easier way to deal with portal auth

G

Do you mean using GL-iNet's fork?

hi

that functionality but with native openwrt.

I have done this setup previously,

Its with OpenVPN, how do I do this with wireguard

So, you know how to get the travel router set up with NordVPN but you want to switch to OpenVPN ?

If yes; please start a new thread.
