Hello, I had the opportunity to recover an Cisco meraki MS220 24P switch in a dumpster. Unfortunately this one is still linked to an account. I am therefore looking for a way to save this equipment. Is it possible to install open WRT on this model. Thanks for your help
Pretty much only Realtek based switches are supported, this one probably isn't one of those.
Since this comes up as a top Google search for this switch, Hal Martin did a talk at CCC in 2023 Defeating planned obsolescence for Cisco Meraki switches on Meraki switches. There is some effort ongoing to get the MS220 working with a mainline kernel (prerequisite for OpenWRT), but in the meantime it's usable with his work with the original downstream kernel - link is in the talk slides.
