Motion on 23.05: "ffmpeg_global_init: No ffmpeg functionality included"

Hi Camus
I know this topic is quite old however it's the only one I found referring to the issue I'm facing setting motion.
using 23.05, motion (4.5) package installed, kmod-video-uvc for local camera and mjpg-streamer for network camera (from distro not recompiled as suggested by slh)

I can obain snapshot images as motion event occurs but no movies
The same error message as yours during the init :

 ffmpeg_global_init: No ffmpeg functionality included

and then when motion event tries to save a movie:

event_ffmpeg_newfile: Error opening context for movie output.

I thought it was a possible missing codec (? while testing any motion's suggested format without succes) thus I install libffmeg-mini but it doesn't solve

As it is probably obvious could you share how you removed the following error message: ffmpeg_global_init: No ffmpeg functionality included

I made the build for my target
including the motion package : multimedia->motion
having checked the option : global build settings->Compile with support for patented functionality

previous message still remains

ffmpeg_global_init: No ffmpeg functionality included

Still not recording video :

event_ffmpeg_newfile: Error opening context for movie output

No more ideas?
