Modem Setup for GL.iNet GL-E750

Hi guys,

I'm trying to set up a GL-E750 (Mudi) device and use built-in modem. The modem itself is the EP06-A option connected via an internal PCI slot.

I've used their MiFi device previously, and got it working with the luci-proto-qmi package. But a dependency, uqmi, doesn't seem to be built yet for this device.

I tried installing modem-manager and I can add a modem-manager interface, but the device field doesn't list any options for me to select. I tried adding "option device '/dev/cdc-wdm0'" to the interface block in /etc/config/network but the device field still doesn't populate.

If anyone knows how I could get this working, I would really appreciate it.

You forgot to provide the information about your modem.

Sorry, just edited the post

This confirms that your modem is in QMI mode, so you can try following the guidelines from this page: https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/network/wan/wwan/ltedongle

Ok, I have no idea why the package install failed last time and why it worked this time, but I have luci-proto-qmi installed now. I didn't get the same error I did last time about uqmi not being found. I'll likely be able to set this up the same way I set up the GL.iNet MiFi, with the QMI interface.

Thanks for the help!
