After some erratic configuration one of our Mikrotik hAP ac routers stopped to work.
I soldered Tx, Rx and GND to the board, connected via USB2serial converter by Putty and during bootup got following message:
Decompressing kernel... failed, data error!
System halted!
Obviously the firmware is corrupted and needs to be reinstalled but I am not sure if it is doable on my Windows 10 laptop. Is there any toolkit to do that in Windows or should I rather connect it to some Raspberry Pi and try Linux tools?
