Thank you, I backed up all the mtd partitions just in case, I have no intention to go back to the original firmware.
Unfortunately I cannot find a way to establish a cellular connection with openwrt 24.10.0

ZTE MF286D: internal 4G modem

I'm not succeeding in activating the modem, neither with qmi or with modemmanager.
