Im wondering if there ist a possibility to root the MR32.
My u-Boot version is incompatible. Is 2012.10. But I’m able to access the shell.
Is it possible to downgrade the U-Boot?
Or is there jo possibility to get my MR32 working?
Also I found openWRT file for the mr32. It’s called openwurt-bcm53xox-generic-meraki_mr32-squashfs.trx.
How to use this one?
I recently acquired a Meraki MR32 unit and am interested in installing OpenWrt on it. If anyone has an OpenWrt NAND dump for the MR32, I would greatly appreciate your assistance. I have the RT809H programmer ready for use.
I'm encountering an issue with the message:
'UNRECOGNIZED COMMAND LOGGED TO CLOUD SERVERS.'
It seems this problem is related to the newest Cisco firmware, Bootkernel Meraki Build 25-201807091103-G1dfc8e26-aacharya.
Could someone provide or insert a NAND dump of an older firmware version where this procedure was still supported? or or a NAND dump with OpenWRT?
The device is not connected to the internet, and the problem is that the newer firmware is too restrictive. Does anyone have a NAND dump of the older firmware or a NAND dump with OpenWRT?
I haven't found that dump yet. If you'd like, you can send me your NAND dump with version 25-201712141532-G0bb86dd3-hamaki, and I can try using it to install OpenWRT. We might be able to adapt the existing image to make it compatible.
I successfully loaded OpenWRT into the part.safe partition, but it seems that the system is running from RAM. Unfortunately, any changes I make to the configuration are lost after a reboot.
SSH is functional, but LUCI is not accessible.
I’m attaching the NAND dump with OpenWRT included, hoping we can make some progress to get everything up and running.
A big thank you to woytu89 for sharing their NAND dump, which I was able to build upon.
Here’s the link to the NAND dump with OpenWRT: https://filebin.net/fqvpkwbn3oa6r56l
