the topic actually is the question: Why is the luci-app-dnscrypt-proxy missing in the software packages list on the 24.10.x series? Due to space limitations, i am still running the dnscrypt-proxy and not the dnscrypt-proxy2 package. The dnscrypt-proxy package/software can be configured from the shell as described in the docs, but working with the luci-app would make things way easier (server list, logs etc.). Platform is ramips/mt76x8 running on a Wavlink WL-WN577A2. But the package is missing on other platforms as well. Why?
The DNScrypt-proxy2 package will likely never see a LuCI application for it. The .toml configuration file format just is not at all conducive to such an effort. If you are still space constrained, you will have to make do without the luci-app-dnscrypt-proxy.
Hi. Thanks for the answers. I am perfectly fine with the shell/terminal. Already installed and configured the dnscrypt-proxy package. Yes, its a space issue in my case, so i have to work with the older version. Extroot is no option, due to the missing (external) USB port on that device. Anyway a UI for configuration would be fine, but isnt necessary at all for sure.
