Looking for info and possibility of (future) support of TP-Link Omada er605 Router

Thanks for the help @richh

@kolya now how can I help you? Tell me how/what to do

see if lspci exists, and post the output.
see if printenv exists, and post the output, if not, interrupt the boot loader, and post it from there.

dmesg and mtd seems to have been posted in the past.

No luck!!!

root@ER605:~# lspci
-ash: lspci: not found
root@ER605:~# printenv
-ash: printenv: not found
root@ER605:~#

printenv will be available in uboot, option 4.

mask any MACs, when posting.

How can I get into uboot via SSH? I have no UART connection.

Ah,

I thought you had, then no, you can't :frowning:

Btw, it's fw_printenv in openwrt, and printenv in uboot, try fw_printenv instead.

Don't worry, thanks for your help @frollic

No luck again.

I finally ordered a secondary one, arrived today (Turns out it a v 1.6 same as my live one), I'm setting up my hardware hacking station now and will wire up UART in a bit. I can try and review this thread, but if there's any first-steps/urgent requests I'll see what I can do.

(Looks like @richh is a few steps ahead of us!)

Thanks @OranguTech, maybe @kolya is interested in your "hardware hacking station" indeed.
My V2 version is different from your V1.6, but maybe we'll find a way for both to work in a near future.

Hey Everyone,

Im also interrested in geting a new 'proper' version of openWRT on my er605.

I have a v2 that I could do the UART mod to if you need me to dump the partitions etc, will just need a bit of help with the actual dumping.

I have SSH running and my partition table seems to be different from the ones posted above.

@Darbness

So I think all I need is the following:

  • Output of ubinfo -l
  • And dump of all /dev/ubi0_* - I think you can just do cat $device > $file on them.

That would contain mac address, S/N and probably other device-specific stuff - so maybe better to DM it.

Thanks!

Okay, ill solder up the UART pins tomorrow and dump them.

You may be able to do this with SSH which if I read above correctly you already have

Hey thanks, do you know/recall what the serial parameters are? (Standard 115200/8/1/N? )

You said you had to jump R2/R5 , is that just to get them to their respective pin holes, that the joints right next to R's are "live" and theoretically can use those? (If you could maintain contact to them, that is.)

FWIW, looks like J3 is GND, J4 is 3.x V.
