Linksys EA7300 - boot from partition 2 from OEM web-interface + speedtest with/without flow offloading

I tried to get my account approved to edit the wiki but I have not yet received any response, so here goes.

I'm finally back in the WRT-game after ditching my Linksys WRT54GL, with DD-WRT, back in 2014, because it lacked the performance to support more bandwidth.

I just recieved a Linksys EA7300 and got OpenWrt up and running on it. What a fantastic operating system!

What I learned during the installation was that the wiki (https://openwrt.org/toh/linksys/ea7300_v2) is missing a vital tip regarding the possibility to boot from partition 2 by using the OEM web-interface.

If you head to "Troubleshooting" -> "Diagnostics" and click on "Restore previous firmware" it will boot from partition 2 after rebooting. Then you do not have to depend on the factory image from Linksys (which is not available on the Linksys website anymore) or the power-cycle method.

I was doubting if the router could support my 1000/500 Mbps cabled connection. Here is some speedtest documentation with/without flow offloading:

Flow offloading disabled:

Software flow offloading enabled:

Hardware flow offloading enabled:

Interesting, I have modified the wiki about this. Thank you.

SW and HW offloading for mt7621 have been implemented a couple of years ago, there is nothing new.
