[Lantiq - TD-W8970] May I remove "kmod-ltq-ptm-vr9" if I use ADSL and not VDSL?

Hi  I use only ADSL with PPPoA, so I already removed anything related to PPPoE from my minimal build. Now, since my home do not have fiber (sad), may I remove also kmod-ltq-ptm-vr9 (found here: make menuconfig > Kernel modules > Network Devices? Also which other stuff can I remove if I do not have VDSL? As exemple I also see kmod-ltq-vdsl-vr9 and kmod-ltq-vdsl-vr9, but those seems more like drivers that handle the whole ADSL/VDSL chip, so removing them may break WAN connection all together, am I right?

To anyone who would like to know. Yes if you use PPPoA (like me) you do not need kmod-ltq-ptm-vr9 (but you still need kmod-ltq-vdsl-vr9 I think, not sure, but I tried once and things started to break).
