Kingston MLWG2 upgrade problem

Hi!

When upgrading Kingston MLWG2 from 15.05 Chaos Palmer to any of newer images like: openwrt-18.06.1-ramips-mt7620-mlwg2-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin. Or Lede ones after 15.05, but before 18.06. Failsafe works always.

Device loses all ethernet and wifi connections. DHCP is disabled and even when using manual IP can't connect. Tried to upgrade with -n option too. And factory reset soft and hard.

When 15.05 Chaos Palmer image returned everything works fine.

Any ideas?

Something has changed on those images after 15.05 that ethernet doesn't work.

Upgrade. Do not keep settings.

I tried that multiple times. -n option does that right?
sysupgrade -n -v /tmp/*.bin

Hi,

I may have bricked my MLWG2 after trying upgrade to openwrt-19.07.2-ramips-mt7620-mlwg2-squashfs-sysupgrade via LuCI web interface, all the LEDs are continuously ON and no wifi is available now.

Any ideas how to bring this back to life?

Thank you

@aman I had a similar problem, and IF I recall (as it was sometime ago) I had to connect via ethernet port or serial. You obviously have serial connection still, if that is the case you can set an IP for the ethernet port... from there log in and access LuCI - your wifi is probably because it has not authenticated (or that was my case).

IF you need more help, let me know, This took me a while to figure out... AND I too believed it was bricked. NOT the case though.

Best of luck.

@clint70 thank you for this. I sent uci show wireless and
wireless.default_radio0.disabled was set to '1'. Changing this to '0' solved the issue.
