Jffs2_scan_eraseblock(): Magic bitmask 0x1985 not found

I updated my Netgear EX3800 from OpenWrt 18.06.4 r7808-ef686b7292 to Sysupgrade 21.02.2 image using LuCI choosing to keep the settings.

The power LED is steady amber, others are off. Serial console output is shown below. Is it bricked and how can I recover from this state?

solved - uploaded openwrt factory image via TFTP
(watching it happening via the serial link is really good for the peace of mind)
