Is there a way to use USB port in the router/modem to convert as wireless client using USB Wifi Dongle

Hi Friends,

Would like to know if there a way to use USB port in the router/modem to convert the modem as wireless client using USB Wifi Dongle.By this can we try extend the signal range? My old modem D-Link DSL 2750 U can work as repeater in wired mode. Looking for Options to make it wireless repeater.
I understand the Wifi Dongle will need drivers to be installed. However when we use 3G Dongles, the driver are not installed but working.

Any suggestions?

get yourself a second hand 2nd generation router... half the cost, half the hassle + 5 x the result...
