It was in the openwrt wiki of Zyxel P-2812 before. The EEPROM file that is.
I gave my friend one of those with 24.10 installed, he said wifi was unstable so he rolled back to 22.03 release, now it works better. I never tried that VDSL modem that much, is that the case? I got 50Mbps speed out of that with 24.10, even though i forgot to add rt3062.eeprom file into /lib/firmware. Is that file even neccessary now?
bosukes,
Yes, the RT3062.eeprom file is needed for Wifi.
Without is Wifi won't work. It has nothing to do with VDSL.
DG.
I forgot to add it once but it turns out it worked?
bosukes,
What do you mean?
I only said that the RT3062.eeprom file is needed for Wifi and has nothing to do with xDSL.
Any OpenWrt version for the P2812, it is needed. After version 21.02.0 also a special command is needed to get Wifi working:
echo 1 > /sys/bus/pci/rescan
Weird however how your friend 'downgraded' a v24.10.0 to 22.03 (unsupported).
The basic setup of the device has changed in between...
