Is Linksys EA8300 supported? I'm confused

Hello. I recently picked up a used Linksys E8300. I see some posts here on this forum about people who have used OpenWrt on this router and I also see on another site something about OpenWrt Chaos Calmer for it. However if I search the Table of Hardware on Openwrt.org - it is not listed.

So… I’m a bit confused. Is OpenWrt supported on this router? It’s looking like officially No, but a few people have gotten it to work. Am I even close?

Edit: also what’s Chaos Calmer?

Are you sure about that model number? Could it be EA8300?

EDIT
Oops, clicked post too soon: Chaos Calmer is an ancient OpenWrt version. https://openwrt.org/about/history#chaos_calmer

It needs a little extra caution, initially flashing an older OpenWrt version, changing the bootloader settings to make it compatible with current OpenWrt and only then flashing the current version, but it's fully supported in current OpenWrt afterwards.

EA8300 is fully supported for several years.
Please refer to this for installation, there is a tiny trick by changing a bootloader variable. Link is for MR8300 but procedure is the same. You can even install Openwrt on both partitions.
