Iptmon: simple iptables-based bandwidth monitoring

Whatever that plugin is, I didn't configure it, and if it was an extra install, I didn't even install it. Definitely nothing about manual rules (the script takes care of all that). You're going down an unnecessary path.

Is iptmon compatible with 22.x firmware?

Considering iptmon is based on iptables and 22.x is now FW4 and nftables based, I would say no.

Here running Openwrt 22.03.3 and I understand that it would be working correctly. Can anyone else check that it works on 22.x?

Thank you! :smiley:

Nftables, yes? If so no it will not work.

@oofnik

I can't configure it. When I click configure for the firewall plugin, I get the following:

Are you using IP-tables?

Is it these packages?

Iptmon is not working starting from Openwrt release 22.03 (due to replacement of iptables with nftables). As a workaround you can install Nlbwmon (https://github.com/jow-/nlbwmon) and then export statistics to collectd using lua plugin: https://github.com/mstojek/nlbw2collectd
With small change in the lua script you can get exactly the same statistic as you had with Iptmon. This lua plugin as for now do not supports IPv6.

My hero.

I was trying to convert the ipt script to nft but had no luck.
