Ip tunnel command in 21.02

I just put together my first system using 21.02.

I have an ipip tunnel that worked fine in 19.07.7. The init script relies on the "ip tunnel" command. It looks like the "tunnel" subcommand was removed in 21.02.

Can anyone share some insight into the reason for this? It breaks a critical app for me.

what app? have you tried creating a github issue? (or similar contact with the app developer regarding faulty dependencies)

I've packaged someone else's app for use with OpenWRT. It is a tunneling app used on the 44 network by licensed radio amateurs (ampr-ripd).

This was helpful to a point. I now do have ip tunnel control...but alas, there are other app issues which I have not resolved.

But as far as my question here goes, this was the solution.
