Installing OpenWRT onto an AP3000

Hi all,

I am very much used to network booting firmware images (and then later applying the .sysupgrade image to install) with Mikrotik devices. Recently, however, I have purchased myself an Cudy AP3000 which I believe does have OpenWRT support (not to mention because all Cudy products run OpenWRT it seems ).

I'm not all too sure how to go about this, when I upgrade the image I downloaded from the firmware selector, openwrt-24.10.1-mediatek-filogic-cudy_ap3000outdoor-v1-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin, I get this message:

Is there something I am missing?

AP1300 isn't AP3000 ?

I bought this darn thing and they said it was an AP3000 outdoor (https://www.takealot.com/cudy-dual-band-3000mbps-wifi-6-outdoor-access-point-ap3000-outdo/PLID96017966).

Now I also see that -_-.

Back to the ordering then.

They gave me a box with AC1200, with an AP1300 inside. All advertised as an AP3000.

Truly wild.

I will close this post and re-open when I get the right device.
