Installing Openwrt on Ubiquiti UniFi Mesh Pro wedges box

Hi. Trying to install Openwrt on the Mesh Pro.
Latest attempt using openwrt-19.07.4-ath79-generic-ubnt_unifiac-mesh-pro-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin
Following mtd instructions from https://openwrt.org/toh/ubiquiti/unifiac.
I've successfully install and unbricked it several times.
Always the same result. After installing OpenWRT, I get a steady blue light.
The router successfully DHCP's an address, and I can ping it.
However I can't get to port 22 or port 80. In fact, nmap says all ports are closed:

# nmap 10.0.0.194
Starting Nmap 7.80 ( https://nmap.org ) at 2020-10-07 16:04 CDT
Nmap scan report for OpenWrt.lan (10.0.0.194)
Host is up (0.00028s latency).
All 1000 scanned ports on OpenWrt.lan (10.0.0.194) are closed
MAC Address: E0:63:DA:14:1C:5F (Ubiquiti Networks)

Nmap done: 1 IP address (1 host up) scanned in 38.27 seconds

any suggestions??
Thanks!

This sounds like a successful install and boot. The light should flash blue fast, then slow, then come on steady blue when OpenWrt is fully booted.

But you are connected to the WAN side of the router. Which by default is a DHCP client, answers pings but has all ports closed.

The models that have two Ethernet ports, one will be WAN and one will be LAN. So connect to the other port. Keep the power supplied to the first one, it only accepts power on one port.

You can of course reconfigure to swap their functions, after logging in.

Thanks! Well ... I checked the 2nd port before, but clearly missed that it was configured, up and running.

Thanks!!! All good now.
