Installing OpenWrt on Taotronics Mesh Router TT-nd001

Hello, I am wandering if it is possible to be able to add OpenWrt OS to the TaoTronics Mesh Router.
The model of this mesh router is TT-nd001.
It is a Tri-Band Wifi 5 (AC) Router.

+1 would be very interested in this!

obtain serial access, and bootm an initramfs DLed from https://downloads.openwrt.org/releases/22.03.5/targets/ramips/mt7621/, belonging to one of the devices on this list.

I have this router too, Did you make it works with Openwrt?

Taotronics seems to be not supporting this anymore, so also interested in being able to put Openwrt on it. Please let me know if any progress is made here.

Following. I've got 6 devices on my hand & can't use them for anything but paper weight since the app is no longer supported.

you'll be following for a very long time.
you own these, you'll be the person adding the openwrt support.

if you like high tech paper weights, go for it.

best case scenario, you'll "only" soft brick it.

App actually doesn't work for me. I always get connection "Network exception error". No way to login & setup

Did you end up trying? How'd it go?

Just got this email:

what are you going to flash it with ?

it's Mediatek MT7621AT SoC, will try to find the same CPU firmware to flash it first.
The questions is I can not login uboot.
Any suggestion?

Hope you got a spare router somewhere.

Not really, they might have disabled the input, on purpose.
Watch the console while you boot with the physical button(s) pressed, if there are any.

Wound up ordering some different routers, but have 3 of these lumps of anyone needs me to guinea pig anything!

I've bought one dirt cheap, i can Play with this but in mid december.
