Is there any place that has instructions for installing LuCI if I want to try flashing a master or snapshot build? Basically looking to make the same kind of setup as a release build. thanks!
okpg update; opkg install luci
should be enough.

Including opkg install luci-ssl is often wanted also if https connection to luci is wanted.
