I need help to install OpenWrt on Iomega ix2-200

Hello. I have a Iomega StorCenter ix2-200 with firmware updated to v3.2.16.30221. Today I discovered the existence of OpenWRT and I'd like to try it; so I downloaded the ix2-200 factory bin and tried to install on my NAS but it didn't recognize it as an update.
What do I have to do to let it install?

Any help will be very appreciated!

have you seen https://git.openwrt.org/?p=openwrt/openwrt.git;a=commit;h=27b2f0fc0fc5513304a5be3c5b8cb23aeb09e6f5 ?

It seems useful, but how can I enter uboot mode? via serial? I don't even know what is uboot :grimacing:

yes, you'll need serial console access to get access to uboot.

For info on getting serial access to the ix2-200 see https://brianhoskins.uk/hardware-hacking-the-iomega-storcenter-ix2-200/. Or perhaps a better page would be https://kiljan.org/2021/04/22/installing-arch-linux-arm-on-an-iomega-ix2-200/. Search the page for the Console preparation section.
