Hello everyone. I have a netgear r6100 router, everything worked great for me before and I could use serviio to broadcast to my TV. but now the servio itself is not displayed in the list on the TV. what do I need to do to make it work? the firewall is turned off, the rules are configured.screenshots are attached
Please post your images (and configs) directly in the forum.
Let's start with your configuration in text form:
Please connect to your OpenWrt device using ssh and copy the output of the following commands and post it here using the "Preformatted text </> " button (red circle; this works best in the 'Markdown' composer view in the blue oval):
![]()
Remember to redact passwords, VPN keys, MAC addresses and any public IP addresses you may have:
ubus call system board
cat /etc/config/network
cat /etc/config/wireless
cat /etc/config/dhcp
cat /etc/config/firewall
Likely your provider blocks SSDP unicast.
What changed since "before"?
I used to have netgear r 6100 stock firmware, but now I have installed openwrt.
Based on the pictures you've got posted, you have put your router at extreme risk by allowing access to the device from the upstream.
But it also looks like you have another router upstream of this one (which might make the above concern moot). Can you describe your network topology? In particular:
- what is the wan connected to?
- what is the tv connected to?
- what is the server connected to?
- what is the purpose of this device?
- How was the R6100/stock firmware connected to the network?
I think it worked. I don't remember exactly what settings I entered, but now I think if I download torrents, I can still watch movies online without my wifi getting clogged.see my screen
What worked?
Your DLNA rule does nothing since the source and destination zones are the same.
And please refrain from posting screenshots for config information. As previously indicated, you should be posting things in text form.
Forgive me for my mistakes. English is not my native language. Well, now DLNA is working. The Serviio server is displayed on the TV, and even if the Vpn is enabled, the DLNA server still sees the TV.Everything is fine now.
