How to resize tmpfs and use the space for overlay

Please see the attached image, I was wondering if I can somehow resize the tmpfs and use the free space for overlay ?

I have already read extroot config which is not possible in my case. As I intend to use both usb ports for SSDs.

My router is linksys EA8100 V2 and I am using OpenWrt SNAPSHOT r19508-0d2d52df69.

tmpfs is done in RAM, so it cannot be used for overlay... at least not if you want to retain your configuration.

tmpfs is in RAM, you lose its contents as soon as the device is restarted.
