How to Install OpenWrt on Linksys WHW01 [GUIDE]

@fockoemfirmwares., do you happen to know offhand how to check if my sysupgrade flashed the second partition?

It is worthy to note that this post describes the installation of the snapshot version (only this was available at the time). Since then a stable version has been released (23.05.2).

I found out a way to flash a firmware using web ui:

This tweak is unnecessary.
Wiki describes easier methods to reach the manual upgrade.

First method

1. In OEM GUI, go to `connectivty` settings. At the bottom, click on `CA` next to the legal informations. You will see a manual update section now.

Second method

1. You can also go directly to this url https://192.168.1.1/fwupdate.html

At the time of writing this guide, there was only snapshot version available for whw01 but after some time we saw a release candidate, which was followed with a stable release. Currently, I would recommend installing the stable version.

Note: this guide is written for snapshot version but it should work almost similar if you flash the stable version instead of snapshot, although I have not personally tested it.

I think its time to close this thread now. Incase of any queries, you can message me.

You can either use the commands i specified in my previous reply for flashing second partition to boot into the partition and check or you can use a package that has a nice gui for luci https://docs.openwrt.melmac.net/luci-app-advanced-reboot/
You can see which partition you are currently booted into in status and which partition is using which release and kernel version.
